It is time to register for the 4th annual Women's Retreat! October 23rd-25th will be a weekend full of sisterhood, love and simplifying. Our theme this year is K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple Sister, our focus will be on simplifing our lives and making room for God. Cost is $150, for lodging and meals. All reservations must be in by Monday, September 21st.

Each fall, the women of the church venture to an off-site location for a weekend retreat. All women are invited to go along as we escape the hustle-and-bustle of our hectic lives to focus on our relationship with God and other women in the church. One of the best aspects of the Retreat is meeting new friends from a diverse group of women. Women between the ages of 25 and 85 go on the Retreat, as well as women who are new to the church and women who have been in the church their entire lives. Each year new friendships are forged!

Women arrive on Friday evening for group introductions, snacks, and lots of fun before bedtime. Each year, we begin with a Retreat tradition: the annual Pajama Party and Contest. Prizes are awarded for the pajamas and slippers that most creatively depict the Retreat theme. The program begins on Saturday morning, with several planned activities in the afternoon. Saturday night comes to a close as we gather around the campfire for music, sharing, storytelling, and roasting marshmallows. We gather for closing worship and Holy Communion on Sunday morning and return home in the afternoon.

The Retreat theme varies each year. Prior years’ Retreat themes have included: The Chocolate Boutique, The Bloomery, and God’s Great Harvest: Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts. The Women’s Retreat Planning Team chooses the theme and coordinates all aspects of the Retreat accordingly.
