Beginnings: an Introduction to Christian Faith |

 When Pastor Andy arrived in July 2003, his arrival coincided with the publication of his program entitled “Beginnings.” Many people in our congregation have participated in a “Beginnings” event and read the books associated with it. Since 2003, over 70,000 people in 2,500 congregations around the world have also read the material and participated in “Beginnings.” But, it has been six years! Some people have forgotten, and other people never experienced, this basic introduction to the core beliefs of Christianity. Andy believes that it is time for all of us to focus anew on the most important foundation stones of our faith!
In January, February, and March, Andy will preach again on some of the major questions and themes from that first series. Who is Jesus? What is sin? What about death? What about suffering? What is the Bible? How do we pray? Can God heal? What is the essential path of salvation? All of us should know the answers to all these questions, but do we? For the new year, we have purchased for you copies of the first “Beginnings” book, Along the Way, and will also have a special gift to illuminate the darkness. These items are both for church families who want them, but also may be a wonderful free gift to a friend, coworker, or relative who is looking for God. Let us, with our friends, explore anew the basics of Christianity.
