Central United Methodist Church Preschool began 25 years ago as a Mother’s Morning out for church members.  It has evolved into one of the most sought after preschools in the area.  Classes range from two to five days a week.  Our program offers something to fit all parents needs for children ages 2, 3 and 4.  Central has a staff of eight that are highly qualified to help children develop into well rounded kindergarteners.

Our curriculum focuses on fine motor skills, creativity, social skills and spiritural development.  Children are prepared for kindergarten by learning numbers, colors, shapes and letters just to name a few.  A positive learning enviornement indtroduces children to self respect and the respect of peers and adults.  Extra activites include music, Spanish, computers, creative movement and weekly Bible study.

Central’s preschool staff is a hard working, educated and caring staff.  Our teachers have been with us for many years.  They are knowledgeable in childcare resources in Cabarrus County.  Each child is looked at as an individual and given every opportunity to reach his or her full potential.

Two year olds can attend class on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Three and four year olds may come as few as two days or as many as five.  We offer a Tuesday/Thursday class and Monday/Wednesday/Friday for both age groups.  Two days a week your child may stay an extra hour for lunch bunch.  They get to meet other children from different class rooms and if gives the parent an extra hour.  Central also offers a summer program.  For the months of June and July kids meet in age appropriate groups Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00am-12:00pm.
