norman_bisanarGeorge Norman Bisanar, 102, died on June 28, 2010 at his Concord residence. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Norman Bisanar will be held on Thursday at the Central United Methodist Church in Concord at 2 p.m. The Rev. Andy Langford will preside.

A visitation will follow the service in the Coltrane Memorial Room. Norman was a faithful member of Central's congregation for 70 years.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Norman and Elizabeth Bisanar Fund, Central United Methodist Church, 30 Union Street N, Concord, NC 28025. All the money donated will be distributed to local charities.

dana_richardsonDana Conner Richardson, a loving wife and mother, loyal friend and devoted disciple passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2010 after an extended battle with cancer.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm at Central United Methodist Church, Coltrane Memorial Room, 30 Union Street N., Concord, NC. A service of celebration for the life of Dana will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 pm at the church. The family will also receive friends after the service.

Dana was born June 23, 1968 in Martinsville, VA. She was the Assistant Director of Habitat for Humanity of Cabarrus County. Dana graduated from Wake Forest University in 1990.

Helen Faye Jamison, 78, resident of Concord, NC and former long time resident of Collierville died at her home June 17, 2010 surrounded by her family following an extended battle with cancer. Memorial services will be held at 3 PM Friday, June 19, 2010 at Concord’s Central United Methodist Church. Private graveside services will be held Monday morning June 21, 2010 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis.

The Memorial service will be at Central Wednesday, June 16th at 2:00pm. There will be room for overflow in the Coltrane Memorial Room (the church's fellowship hall) and the Youth Room. The service will be broadcast in both rooms. Both the Coltrane Room and the Youth Room are located in the church's basement. You may enter the basement from the steps close to the large parking lot. The are other entrances from inside that will be clearly marked.

Mr. James Billy "Bill" Nobles, 87, passed away at Tucker Hospice House on June 3, 2010.

A memorial service will be at 1 pm on Saturday, June 19, at Central United Methodist Church with Rev. Andy Langford officiating. The family will receive following the service in the Coltrane Memorial Room.

Bill was born on July 24, 1922 to Oscar Floyd and Verda Virginia Geddie Nobles. He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific. He received a BS degree from American Television Institute in Chicago, Illinois and worked at the American Broadcasting Company in Chicago until his retirement. He was an avid inventor and the proud recipient of a patent for one of his creations. As well as working with electronics, Bill found much enjoyment in gardening.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 1, at Central United Methodist Church, 30 Union Street North, Concord, with burial following at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Feb. 28, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Wilkinson Funeral Home at 100 Branchview Dr., Concord. The family wishes to express its sincere thanks and appreciation to the Hospice staff for their faithful and professional service.
