CONCORD - Max Colon Hutchins went to be with his Lord on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church for 24 years, serving as President of the Jesse Boger Class, and teaching Disciple Bible Study.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 1, at Central United Methodist Church, 30 Union Street North, Concord, with burial following at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Feb. 28, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Wilkinson Funeral Home at 100 Branchview Dr., Concord. The family wishes to express its sincere thanks and appreciation to the Hospice staff for their faithful and professional service.

Dr. E.m. (Tommie) Tomlin

HARRISBURG - Dr. E. M. (Tommie) Tomlin, former chairman of the Cabarrus County Republican Party and former chairman of the North Carolina Mental Health Commission, died on Monday, Feb. 1, 2010. He was 86.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at Central United Methodist Church in Concord, North Carolina, with Rev. Andy Langford officiating and Rev. T.C. Plexico assisting. The family will receive friends following the service in the Coltrane Memorial Room.

CONCORD - Mr. Jones, 82, passed away Sunday, January 31st, 2010 at Universal Healthcare. He had been a resident of Morningside of Concord for one year.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Central United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Andy Langford. The family will receive friends following the service in the Coltrane Memorial Room. A private burial will be Thursday morning at Oakwood Cemetery.

CONCORD - Mrs. Gloria Roberts Gressle, 87, of Brumley Avenue, passed away Wednesday morning at Brian Center of Concord. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Oakwood Cemetery conducted by Rev. Andy Langford.
