Costa Rica 2007

Jesus Christ has given every church the mission statement “to make disciples of all nations”.  The church has been a beacon of service to Concord, and this summer we will expand our borders once again to Costa Rica.

From July 14th to the 29th we will be working in the town of Conception witch is south of San Jose.  This community has been suffering in poverty and a church there is trying to be a beacon of hope.  The church is working on a college in which trade classes can be taught to the entire community.  Currently there is a roof-covered building with no floor and no walls.  Our mission team will be working on the walls on making sidewalks for this building.

This trip will involve a solid weed of work but we will also have time to experience there beauty of Costa Rica through the local markets, trails through the rain forest, and a trip to a volcano.  To prepare for this trip we will be offering a basic Spanish class, construction and orientation seminar. We encourage those who have signed up to get their passports and to start preparing their bodies and hearts now.  For those unable to attend we ask for your prayer.
