Donna came to Central officially in September 1994.  She has always been very active in the music community in Charlotte, where she and Bill Gouge first met and worked together.  Bill invited her to direct the choir during their Christmas music program the previous year, then invited her to direct again during the Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday programs.   She has been at Central since that time.

Donna grew up in Monroe, NC, where her parents still reside.  She began her involvement in church music at a very young age at First Presbyterian in Monroe.  Donna received her Bachelors of Music Education in Choral Conducting from Winthrop University.   She has studied choral conducting with Dr. Robert Edgerton and former Oratorio Director, the late, Dr. Mary Nell Saunders.

 She has served as Choir Director for Youth and Adult choirs in several churches in Charlotte.  Donna was also a paid singer/section leader at Trinity Presbyterian in Charlotte.  Currently, she is the Director of the Festival Singers of Carolina Voices, Associate Director for the Oratorio Singers of Charlotte. A familiar face in the Charlotte music community, Donna has organized and conducts the choral program for the annual SouthPark Christmas Tree Lighting as well as the Good Friends Choir during their annual Holiday luncheon.  She currently resides in Charlotte and is employed full time by Wachovia Corporation.
