Nursery

We welcome children at Central, and have a place for everyone on Sunday mornings. 

Our nursery is available for infants and young children during both services and Sunday School.  During the 8:45 a.m. service, children are usually dropped off before the service starts.  During the Sunday school hour, three and four year olds are taken to the classroom next door for their own age-appropriate Sunday school lesson. During the eleven o’clock service, infants and toddlers are usually dropped off before the service begins.  However, children two and older come to worship and participate in the Time for Children.  Then they can go to the nursery or return to sit with their parents.

Our nursery features a pager system for parents so you will know if your child is crying or has any specific needs.  Our experienced nursery workers have had background checks and training in infant and child emergency care. 

Preschool-aged Children

Preschool Sunday School is our program for three and four year olds.  Children are checked into the nursery at the Sunday School hour, 9:45-10:45 a.m.  They play for a few minutes, then their teacher takes them to the classroom next door for a thirty to forty-five minute lesson with games, singing, art, and stories from the Bible.  Keep an eye out for a visit from our puppet, Whiskers the Mouse!
