Hospitality at Central PDF Print E-mail
At Central, we are blessed every Sunday morning to have guests worship with us!  Some guests make the decision to become members of Central, while others continue as regular attenders.  We are intentional at Central about welcoming all into our congregation—saints, sinners, those who have previously attended church and those who have never been in a church before!  We strive to strike a healthy balance at Central – never overwhelming, but always welcoming.

If you decide to worship with us at Central, we hope you will provide your contact information.  No one will visit you at your home and stay for hours on end!  We promise!  Our pastors will, however, drop you a note of introduction the following week.  You will also begin receiving Central’s newsletter, The Central Messenger, which is published monthly.  The newsletter  will give you additional information about Central and all the ministries and programs of the church.

Should you decide to continue attending worship at Central (and we hope you will!), our pastors will contact you about taking you (and your family, if applicable) to lunch or dinner.  This will be a casual time of fellowship and sharing, a time for the pastors to get to know you better and vice versa.

After you worship with us several times, a member of our Hospitality Committee will contact you on the telephone.  This person will welcome you to Central on behalf of the congregation and answer any questions you may have about the church (or find the answer).  We find that it is often helpful for you talk with someone who is experiencing life in the community, as well as conversations with our pastors.

At various times throughout the calendar year, our pastors and the Hospitality Committee will host an Orientation Luncheon after church in the church fellowship hall.  We share a meal together, talk about some of the history of Central, and take a walking tour of the church building.  Anyone who would like more information about the church is invited to participate in these informal luncheons.

If you need more information, please contact our pastors or Jim and Linda Ewing, our Hospitality Committee  Chairpersons.

Come worship with us! We’re looking forward to meeting you!
