Rebecca Tucker, Minister with Youth
Rebecca is a native of Salisbury, NC. She moved to Concord in 2009 shortly after she married her husband, Art, who works for Duke Energy. She graduated from UNC Charlotte with a BA in Child and Family Development. They have two young daughters, Caroline and Maggie. Besides working with youth, her interests include cooking, baking, and spending time with her family.
Rebecca grew up attending First United Methodist Church in Salisbury, NC. She was very active in her youth group, where her love of missions and helping others was sparked. Over the years she has worked with young people at Camp Tekoa as a family group leader and lead adventure resource, as well as CrossBridge (a sister ministry to Caroline Cross Connection).
Upon graduating from college, she worked as a special education preschool teacher for Cabarrus County Schools at Mary Frances Wall Center. After her first daughter was born, she decided to stay at home and work part time as a substitute teacher. After working with youth again in the school system, she knew it was time to get involved at her church with the youth. She began volunteering and was hired shortly after to be the youth assistant. She has a passion for helping young people grow in the faith while navigating the rocky teen years and being faithful servants to our community.
